• 1/2 cup boiled and peeled almonds
• 1/2 cup chickpeas
• 4 chicken breasts
• 1/4 cup butter
• 1/4 cup saffron
• 4 cups of chicken soup
• 1 small cinnamon stick
• 4 tbsp. chopped parsley
• lemon juice as desired
• salt
• Ground black pepper
- Put chicken pieces in a saucepan with butter; add half of the saffron amount, along with salt with black pepper. Heat the mixture with gentle stirring until the butter melts.
- Add the onions and broth and boil the mixture. Then, add chickpeas and cinnamon.
- Cover the pot and cook for 20 minutes.
- Put the chicken in the serving dish and keep warm. Then, boil the sauce until it is reduced in size and stirred constantly.
- Add the almonds, parsley and the rest of the saffron and cook the sauce for 3 minutes.
- Pour a little bit of lemon juice over the sauce, and then pour this sauce over the chicken pieces.
- Serve the dish after decorating it with some parsley leaves.
