• 1 Kg Kofta, finely chopped
• 2 tbsp. tomato paste
• 1 tbsp. Salt
• 1/2 cup black pepper
• 1/2 tsp. red pepper
• 1 tsp. mixed pepper
• 1/2 kg of sliced onions into thin slices
• 1/2 cup pine nuts
• Vegetable oil for Kofta balls and onions
• 2 cups tomato sauce
• Mix the Kofta with pine nuts, tomato paste, salt and spices
• Press the Kofta mixture into small balls the size of the cherries
• Heat the oil and fry the onion until they're pale, then remove from the pan and keep the frying oil for later use
• Fry the meatballs in the same pan until browned, then, add to the onions
• Add the tomato sauce and cook the mixture on medium heat for 20 minutes. When done, leave the pot aside. The rice is served beside the Dawood Basha.
