250 g Boneless fish
Tomatoes (cut into small dices)
3 medium sized Onion (chopped)
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1 tsp Fenugreek seeds
4 grams Dried Red chilies
4 g Green chilies ( slit)
1 tbsp Ginger and garlic paste
2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Red Chili powder
2 tsp Coriander powder
5-6 grams Curry leaves. And a little more for garnish.
3-4 tbsp Mustard oil.
Salt : to taste
1.Marinate the fish with salt and turmeric and keep aside. Then heat the oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds and the fenugreek seeds.
2. Add the red whole chilies to the warm oil. then the curry leaves and the onions.
3. When the onion turns into golden brown add the ginger and garlic paste and cook for few minutes.
4. Now add the turmeric powder, the cumin powder and the coriander powder and stir .
5. After few minutes add the chopped tomatoes and keep on stirring.
6. Add the marinated fish to the curry and let it simmer for 8-10 minutes.
7. Adjust the seasoning and garnish with a sprig of curry leaves.
8. Serve hot with steamed rice.
