Filling:
• 1/2 Cup Almonds
• 1/4 Cup Pecans
• 1/4 Pistachios
• 1.5 tbsp Melted Unsalted Butter
• 1.5 tbsp Granulated Sugar
• 1/2 tsp Cinnamon Powder
• Zest of 1/2 Lemon
• Zest of 1/4th Orange
• 7 sheets of Phyllo pastry
• 1/4 cup Melted Unsalted Butter
• 1 cup of sugar syrup
• Add the almonds, pecans and pistachios in a mixer and blend them to small pieces then place them in a mixing bowl and add the melted butter, sugar, cinnamon powder, lemon zest and the orange zest and mix until the ingredients are well combined.
• Take a layer of the pastry sheets, brush it with a lot of melted butter, add over it another pastry sheet and brush it with melted butter. Repeat this with the rest until you get 7 layers of pastry sheets.
•Cut the pastry sheets in circles and place them in a muffin baking tray
• Add in each cup of the pastry some of the nuts mixture and press them well
• Bake them in a preheated oven at 180 degree for 20 minutes or until they change color
• Take them out of the oven, pour over each piece some warm sugar syrup
• Let them cool and then serve
